Has the DConf videos not been released yet? Jeez, this is not cool at all!! I'm not sure why but every conference on earth that is help to promote anything (IME) has it's videos released not more than some few days. That's not always the case for DConf since "forever".

I respect all good effort being put into it...but we need to work on this...it can't again happen next year.

Patience, please. The video guy at the conference told me it would take about two weeks to get them all ready. I expect to hear from the company any day now.

As far as I know: yes. Day one was streamed on Webex, that’s why it isn’t on YouTube. The recordings were done with separate camera’s, should be decent when they come.

Yes, that's the case. I expect to hear that the videos are ready any day now.

May I suggest to remove the test videos and full-day videos on the D Foundation youtube channel?

I think they misrepresent the talks by giving a lesser experience right now, and people that watch the talks as is will not watch them again when the real videos are out.

This is too long a timeframe, people who are not already in D will have forgotten about the conference by now so it will fail to increase D's mindshare.

I deleted the test videos a while back. I don't see any there now. If I've overlooked any, please point them out.

The live streams should stay.

I'll be using the videos in the months to come to promote the language on the blog and elsewhere. Publishing them on YouTube a few weeks after the conference won't affect that.

I appreciate that people are eager to see them, but if we want to have videos that are ready to go within a few days after a DConf ends, we're going to need to throw more money at a recording team to expedite their processing. I'd rather accept the delay and use the money elsewhere.

I just got word that they should be finished rendering the final video on Friday. They'll provide me with a download link and I'll start uploading them this weekend.
