Digital Mars is a development environment that is also capable of using MFC, but Visual C++ isn't something that is the focus of the news server. The book I think will get you off to a good start is Programming Windows with MFC by Jeff Prosise (MS Press). After working that one through you will be able to ask more specific questions, which will get you better answers. And you can allways try the microsoft news groups for questions on Visual C++.
