Looky at the email I just received! It would not be possible without the help and dedication of our amazing D developers! You all have every right to be busting with pride!

Hi Mike

Now that we've had a successful launch, if you get a chance can you
let Walter know that the science telemetry processing engine for this
mission:

(launch video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es7tnMxgOuY

is written in D? It carries raw bits through decompression up through
initially calibrated science measurements of Earth's near space
environment. If you happen to see any diagrams of real data from the
TRACERS mission in the future, every measurement that goes into that
diagram has passed through D code.

If you can tell him thanks from me for starting and guiding the D
language, I'd appreciated it.

Your work for the D community is valuable.

All the best,

Yes you do.

Just want to add special thanks to Ali Çehreli. My copy of "Programming in D" falls open to "More Templates". Guess that's were I needed the most guidance.

Cheers All,

Great to see D being used in such high caliber projects, kudos to everyone that made this possible.

Makes me very happy!

Congratulations to you too for choosing D for your project(s). It requires good qualities in people and organizations to step out of popular choices.

One of my colleagues is eagerly waiting for our new project so he too can use D. :)
