Is there a technical FAQ hidden anywhere or a summary of what has been
discussed
on this newsgroup so I don't end up asking old questions.

I have read (and tried to understand) all the stuff on
http://www.digitalmars.com/d/ (including the FAQ there).

I don't think there is that sort of FAQ yet... time to compile it?
