hi,

I'm new here and just heard about D some days ago.
I switched from C++ (Borland) to C#.NET about a half year ago.
Therefore I would like to know, whether there are any plans to release a
D.NET?

regards, Robert

Plans are very vague.

If a GCC backend outputting CLI (.NET) is ever to be made, and the OpenD which is based on GCC could be easily attached to it. But OpenD compiler is very far from working state.

I plan to hook D to some VM - either my custom, or most probably CLI (.NET) - I have reasons to do that - that would have a great value in runtime code generation - but ages might pass till then, or my plans might change.

Welcome to community, anyway. Consider helping the OpenD crew if you want D to become widely abailable.
