And so I would, had it been interesting and/or important.

Thankfully, it's not. =)

(btw, which part of Aus are you in? I'm not aware of many Antipodeans in the
D movement.)

I think that Jonny should go and play soccer.
I grew up in Wollongong and ended up
here in Melbourne, still trying to grow up.

How about you?

Apparently he & Becks had a kick around, and they were each useless with the other's balls. <G>

Do you know the Rogans of Wollongong? Am good friends with one of them. :)

> How about you?

English (Yorkshire, actually). Moved here in 97.

Considering going back, as my two sons have too much "oi" in their "oh". And I miss the weather, of course, and the great food. ;)

The real reason is that there seems to be so little work here, even if you're an infamous contributing editor of an august publication. :(

I'm sure a quick holiday back to Blighty will cure me of the delusion.

If your after work over here try this
www.mycareer.com.au
They have plenty of IT jobs.

You would think that balls would be the last thing
that Becks would be playing with considering the
missus that he has

I shall have to tell my buddy he's a lot less famous than he thinks. ;)

At least they won a World Cup in something.

I'm tired of seeing the English football team always blowing their chance of doing something special in the last few minutes of every international contest that they've been in (except for the '66 cup, of course -- and they almost blew that one).

You're not wrong. It was excruciating watching the second half and extra time, as the Australians gradually clawed themselves back from behind. Thank goodness for the golden boot of Mr Wilkinson.

The sad thing is that I've no doubt that the English sports "community" will now become as arrogant and overbearing as the Australian one is. There was a bit of TV coverage the other day with some English fan teasing the Australian staff at Sydney airport saying some like "see this, this is a rugby ball. Do you want us to show you how to use it?". Sigh. Doh!. The Australians have won the world cup twice.

Success begets smugness, I suspect. :(

Anyway, it's all irrelevant. Cycling rules! (Go Lance, you tough Texan,
you!)
