There were a bunch of jokes about that.

Anyone else prefer scans to text? I've thought that since some people really prefer the handwritten version, that when I'm forced to do it with slides in the future, that maybe I should scan them in instead of editting in powerpoint.

I'm curious to see what the handwritten slides look like.

If the powerpoint slides would just be digital versions of your handwritten notes, it could be a big waste of time to type them in.

I don't have anything against Powerpoint, but I've seen too many poor presentations by people using Powerpoint. I think some people use powerpoint as a crutch. Instead of providing good content, they provide only a flashy presentation. The content is essential.

It sounds like your presentation had terrific content with a nostalgic presentation. Often, Powerpoint presentations look the same. Everyone's presentations look like everyone else's. The content is the important part so you might just want to go with what's easiest for you.

This topic reminds me of the Powerpoint version of the Gettysburg Address (http://norvig.com/Gettysburg/).
