There's a hoary old joke about some explorer who scours the world for the grave of Mozart. When he finally locates and open the tomb, he finds the old-dead-guy tearing up his manuscripts ...

"What are you doing?! Those are priceless treasures!" he cries. "De-composing" replies Mozart.

So ... it just struck me that Walter may have surreptitiously snuck in a crafty one regarding the D compiler (de-compile?).

No offence intended (of course). But my macabre sense-of-humour was tickled by the notion that we, all of us on this newsgroup, are effectively de-compiling ...

what does it all mean? :-)

Ah yes;

And what about D-porting?
or perhaps (almost an oxymoron) D-cyphering?
or the OO D-composition :-)
or the French D'etente
or (aha ha ha!) Matthew's D-Range() ... Ahem, 'scuze me

I'm sure Brad Anderson can come up with some more.
