Hi,

Phobos seems to be developing rapidly, but it seems to be basically a case of emailing Walter a new class, then seeing if it pops up in the next release.

Surely a better approach would be to split phobos into a separate project and use some decent source control tools like subversion or (better) arch to make it easier to improve the class lib, write patches for documentation, that sort of thing.

Is there a reason Phobos is still being developed as part of the DMD D compiler?

thanks -mike

Because noone wants to maintain it?

It was long decided that a Phobos alternative project would be good, which would extend on Phobos, but Walter should decide later what gets standard and what not.
