Don't you mean "He who laughs last obviously didn't get the joke at first"?

on English than the one I was used to on my old language... ???

So I don't understand if you are proposing a correction or
making another joke (???)... cultural differences...
Obviously I understand your phrase, just not some potencial hidden meaning.
