Though they produce a StackOverflow error, the following code compiles just fine: int[8053063679] isieve; uint[536870911] usieve; bit[96636764159] sieve; double[7784628223] dsieve; However, all of the following produce: Internal error: ..\ztc\cgcod.c 614 double[-1] d; double[7784628224] dsieve; int[-1] i; int[8053063680] isieve; uint[-1] u; uint[536870912] usieve; bit[-1] b; bit[96636764160] sieve; |

Posted in reply to Andrew Edwards | these all seem to be numbers bigger than 32 bits. perhaps it has something to do with the compiler truncating them and getting a negative value..? i'm not sure why you want such large numbers though :) though the compiler should flag a negative array size as an error.
