Hello all, I've played around a bit with D over the past year or so and absolutely love the language. I first started working with D under Linux and so was able to use the available Linux version. I have started using the MacOSX and I haven't been thrilled with my experiences with gdc. Anyway, I've long thought that writing to C/C++ and then using the native compiler was the better way to go and after doing some googling, saw that there was some talk about a 'dfront' compiler that would generate C/C++. Does anyone know the status of this? Was there any source code that was generated and is open source? Thanks Gordon Miller |

A nice idea, but no one actually attempted it. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm pretty sure that if someone were to write a "dfront" program it would be popular around here and many people would try using it. jcc7 |
