The error "cannot create instance of abstract class X" does not tell me what method is un-implemented.

I take it you mean something like this?

class A
{
 abstract void foo();
}

void main()
{
 A a=new A;
}

In my case I was extending a class with abstract methods.

class A
{
  abstract void foo();
}

class B : A {}

void main()
{
  B b = new B();
}

but it's the same thing.
