I'm just curious to know what's up, that's all. ~ Clay |

Posted in reply to clayasaurus | The MySQL server appears to be down... I'm pretty sure Brad uses the MySQL database for authentication, so when that goes down...

Quoth the link: #Then either of the following may be true; # #1. The database connection information in 'config.php' is wrong. # ---> 2. The database service on the server is not running. <--- If you try to bring up any of the trac project pages, you get a stream of python errors than end with this: # File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/trac/db/postgres_backend.py", line 99, in __init__ # cnx = psycopg.connect(' '.join(dsn)) #OperationalError: FATAL: connection limit exceeded for non-superusers So it looks like dsource.org's database is down. I hope everything over there is okay. - EricAnderton at yahoo |

Posted in reply to J C Calvarese | I'm w/ Tom and JCC - Postgres rules, except for this case. I had to restart it this AM, and this PM, so something is up. Maybe the new version of Trac I put down? Dunno, but it's disconcerting.
All involved, send email to me at the following:
brad@dsource.org
brad@sankaty.com
brad@mirus.com
Those should reach me in case the server is absolutely hosed and postfix is down as well. Hopefully someone in the Trac world solves the issue...
BA
P.S. Tomorrow, if it goes down, I may not be able to help, as I'll be rooting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory over the New England Patriots... those facists.

The dsource.org server is really reliable when you consider it's basically a one-man operation. jcc7 |

The dsource.org server is really reliable when you consider it's basically a one-man operation. I'll second that. Brad, if you're thinking about publishing a best-practicies book for server/site administration, I'd be first in line to buy a copy. - EricAnderton at yahoo |
