Apologies again for the SNAFU at the end of the Q & A livestream. I managed to leave off a quotation mark from one of the strings in my names array for the daily prize. Then after I successfully ran it, I found I had an extra quotation mark in the names array for the grand prize. Had I written it in D, I would have caught it at compile time. Next year!
So, I did manage to successfully run the script over both arrays. The winners are:
The Day Two Prize winner of a $50 Amazon eGift Card: Ezneh.
I already have Ezneh's contact info and will notify him via email.
The Grand Prize winner of a $100 Amazon eGift Card: Eduard Staniloiu.
I also know how to contact him, so they're covered.
Congratulations to both of them. Once I edit out the cursing from when I was searching for the reason that the grand prize script also didn't run on the first go, I'll publish the video of both prize runs to my personal YouTube channel as a private video that can only be viewed with the link and then post the link here. Tomorrow.
I'm going to take a few days off from D stuff, but at the end of the week I'll chop the Q & A sessions out of the livestream and start cutting them down and publishing them on their own playlist on the foundation's channel. If all goes well I'll have them all finished by the end of December.
I'd like to once again thank everyone who participated in DConf Online. I'm looking forward to doing it all again next year. And I'm open to suggestions on how to improve the experience. We can thank Steven Schveighoffer for the multiple breaks we had this year because he suggested it after last year. And we can thank him again for suggesting a better UI for taking questions during the Ask Us Anything. I'll get something together for that next year and we can use it for all of the talks. I'll also take any other suggestions under advisement. Just let me know!
