Hello! Has anyone installed the latest gdc version 0.24 on an ubuntu box by using any official repository? where should point sources.list to access this .deb? I know how to do it for debian (http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=gdc&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all) but no idea for ubuntu. I know this must be a debian/ubuntu issue, but perhaps any of you have already solved it. Thanks! |

Hello, Here is a feisty-amd64 build: http://people.dunnewind.net/arthur/gdc-feisty/ This is the futur Debian unstable upload (http://people.dunnewind.net/arthur/doko/) so don't worry if it is not uploaded to Debian yet. ;-) I'll try to upload to ubuntu PPA to have it built for i386/amd64 feisty on launchpad.net Arthur. 2007/9/24, in-call@gmx.net <in-call@gmx.net>: > Hello Arthur! > > Somehow I cannot find this msg on the D.gnu web-news... > > I still use feisty and if making a backport is not a hassle, it would be fantastic. I am running feisty on two different architectures: i386 and amd64. It seems that there is no binary amd64 version available, not even dmd on ~baryluk's. So it would be great if I don't have to wait until a gusty upgrade. > > Cheers! > Pablo > > > Arthur Loiret wrote: > > Hello, > > > > gdc-4.1 has been sync from current Debian Unstable version in gutsy: http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/devel/gdc-4.1 > > > > So it will be installable on gutsy with sudo apt-get install gdc-4.1, otherwise I can try to make a backport for feisty. > > > > > > Arthur. > > > > 2007/9/24, Pablo Ripollés <in-call@gmx.net>: > >> Hello! > >> > >> Thanks! > >> > |

I have just tried but I get an "Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: gcc-4.1-base" though it is installed, exactly that same version! hum strange... you can install it with dpkg --force-depends -i *.deb, and check your gcc-4.1-base installation. > > > > > This is the futur Debian unstable upload > > (http://people.dunnewind.net/arthur/doko/) so don't worry if it is not > > uploaded to Debian yet. ;-) > > I guess this is the same .deb, right? Posted in reply to Pablo Ripollés | Hello, gdc-4.1 has been sync from current Debian Unstable version in gutsy: http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/devel/gdc-4.1 So it will be installable on gutsy with sudo apt-get install gdc-4.1, otherwise I can try to make a backport for feisty.
