Hello!

Has anyone installed the latest gdc version 0.24 on an ubuntu box by using any official repository? where should point sources.list to access this .deb?

I know how to do it for debian (http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=gdc&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all) but no idea for ubuntu.

I know this must be a debian/ubuntu issue, but perhaps any of you have already solved it.

Thanks!

Hello,

Here is a feisty-amd64 build: http://people.dunnewind.net/arthur/gdc-feisty/

This is the futur Debian unstable upload
(http://people.dunnewind.net/arthur/doko/) so don't worry if it is not
uploaded to Debian yet. ;-)

I'll try to upload to ubuntu PPA to have it built for i386/amd64 feisty on launchpad.net

It seems that there is no binary amd64 version available, not even dmd on ~baryluk's. So it would be great if I don't have to wait until a gusty upgrade.

hum strange... you can install it with dpkg --force-depends -i *.deb, and check your gcc-4.1-base installation.

No, those are built for Debian unstable, not for feisty.

Hello,

gdc-4.1 has been sync from current Debian Unstable version in gutsy: http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/devel/gdc-4.1

So it will be installable on gutsy with sudo apt-get install gdc-4.1, otherwise I can try to make a backport for feisty.
