It seems that in the modern world of Cloud and Kubernetes, and the charging model of the Cloud vendors, that the startup times of JVMs is becoming a financial problem. A number of high profile companies are switching from Java to Go to solve this financial difficulty.

It's a pity D is not in there with a pitch.

I suspect it is because the companies have heard of Go (and Rust), but not D.
