I never need to worry about that kind of thing <g>, My Linux box has a power cord, a network cord, and a monitor that gets plugged in about every other month. Anything that requires a GUI gets done on the Win box, the rest mostly goes to the Linux box. Oh well thats just me.

Well, that sort of leave out anyone who doesn't use forums.

I don't use them.

This is because I find them a total pain to use, because of several things:

1: the only access to them is a web page
2: it requires a large amount of excess bandwidth (images, forms, etc.)
3: the pages require an active connection to work (I don't have this)
4: No convenient way to save posts for later reading.
5: No threading.
6: I could go on...

Thank you Walter for using NNTP!!!

+1 Ubuntu in VMWare -- dmd

Though I'd gladly change that last one to '+1 Win2K -- gdc-i?86-elf cross-compiler' if I could get it to work. Or a DMD-Linux cross for Windows if Walter would provide one. I don't even need (G)Phobos, ELF output is enough.

that site the link points to should the place to vote... this thread could really become huge and really hard to go through for ppl without NG reader...
What about keep it alive for 5 days or so and then delete this thread from the server?
