Hello,


As I'm sure you know Iain is actively maintaining gdc. I chatted with him on IRC and mentioned that if he could use write access to Phobos I'd bring it up with you all.

I think Iain will make rare and conservative contributions and is overall a responsible and valuable member of the community. Please let me know by replying to this or by email of your thoughts regarding granting Iain Phobos developer status.

vote++.  He writes patches for GDC sometimes that are really issues with the main tree (64 support comes to mind) and then we duplicate the effort getting them into the main tree.

I haven't looked at any of his work, but anyone who can wrestle the gcc beast is clearly qualified to commit to phobos ;)
