Walter deleted one of Joakim's posts (and the subsequent thread) for a gratuitous insult. Joakim claimed his post was deleted for criticizing DConf, despite the fact that all of hos other posts criticizing DConf were still online. He and I had an email discussion about this and he refused to accrpt it.

It's unfortunate that some people can't understand the difference between modrration and censorship, but if they insist on that position there's nothiing we can do about it.

Now, if you wish to discuss this topic further, please start a new thread. It's gone way off topic for this thread.

My point was that by treating him in this way, you lost a contributor to and a proponent of D. Was it really worth it? I get the impression that you don't really regret it, so somehow you must think it was worth it, for what reason, I don't know.

Hm, what the point is, then? The first thought is that in your opinion is that the languge maintainers should more clearly admit some mistakes you think they have made.

But that can't be everything. If you were simply fed up with the langauge and it's leadership, you would just leave. There are thousands of screwed up projects at the Internet, and they are simply abandoned. What is it that is holding you here arguing for the sinking ship (as that is what D is judging by your posts)?
