Posted in reply to dsource.org | I noticed not a lot of people are on the d-runtime mailing list, and now I see druntime commits are starting to go to the phobos mailing list. Should we even have a druntime mailing list?

Posted in reply to Steve Schveighoffer | Good question. So few people know about the list that half the time I post here instead. But I like separating talk of weird low-level stuff with user-visible stuff.

Posted in reply to Steve Schveighoffer | Gaa, I didn't even know there was a druntime mailing list. I recently asked Brad Anderson to run the druntime commit notifications here.

Posted in reply to Walter Bright | I didn't either until very recently (about a month ago). I think part of it has to do with the lists here: http://lists.puremagic.com Note that d-runtime is listed above all the mailing lists that mirror the newsgroups. I just ignored it because I thought it was a newsgroup list. -Steve ----- Original Message ---- > From: Walter Bright <walter at digitalmars.com> > To: Discuss the phobos library for D <phobos at puremagic.com> > Sent: Fri, August 6, 2010 5:59:16 PM > Subject: Re: [phobos] druntime commit, revision 360 > > Gaa, I didn't even know there was a druntime mailing list. Are we going to fix it so that they go to the runtime list or keep them going to the phobos list? Personally, I'd prefer to have them separate. As it is, you have to sort through them in order to see what's for phobos and what's for druntime.

Posted in reply to Steve Schveighoffer | I'm subscribed to it now. Anyhow, the idea is to 'paint' the struct to be a ulong:
return *cast(ulong *)&s;

Posted in reply to Walter Bright | That seems like the ugly/unportable way to do it, but I guess that's all we can do for now.
Thanks
