Is the Digital Mars news server getting really slow these days or is it just me?

Does anyone know why?

I've found that it can take a few seconds to get a connection to it, but once connected, it runs very fast (it's hooked directly to a T1 line). The connection delay is because of the huge volume of hits on the web site, there is a limit to the number of simultaneous connections.
