Is it not equivalent to this? void test() { (cast(int[]) null) = 2; } The second example works if you use opIndexAssign instead of opSlice: struct Foo { int[] opIndexAssign(int v) { return null; } } void test() { Foo foo; foo[] = 2; } -- |
