Also not very useful dmd compiles files with embedded `;' (my version control system uses them) but then is unable to link: >dmd hash;13.obj C:\DMD\BIN\..\..\dm\bin\link.exe hash;13,,,user32+kernel32/noi; OPTLINK (R) for Win32 Release 7.50B1 Copyright (C) Digital Mars 1989 - 2001 All Rights Reserved hash.obj Error 2: File Not Found hash.obj |

Posted in reply to Manfred Nowak | In general, the linker does not work with filenames that contain characters that have special meaning to the linker command line parser. This includes spaces, commas, #'s, +'s, and semicolons.
