The standard (http://www.digitalmars.com/d/attribute.html) says:

   D conventions are:

	extern (D):

   or:

	extern:

In fact, extern without a linkage attribute inherits the current linkage attribute. So this:

   extern (C):
   extern:
       void memmove ();

And this:

   extern (C):
       void memmove ();

Are functionally identical. Walter, please respond to this post with how you're going to fix it.

Perhaps it should be an error to not specify a linkage.
