Yesterday was the first ever D "Birds of a Feather" gathering here in Tokyo.  It took place in conjunction with the Tokyo OpenSource Conference 2008.

We had 11 short talks from various members of the D Tokyo community over the course of two hours.  (One talk, from k.inaba-san, via skype from Australia) The room was filled to capacity at about 40 attendees.

The whole proceedings were streamed live via ustream, and will be archived somewhere eventually I think.  Presentations will probably be posted as well -- probably a link will be posted on the D-BOF page listed below.  Of course these won't be much use if you don't speak Japanese. :-)

I had a great time meeting some of the folks whose names I've seen around here and there, like Kenta Cho of "ABA Games", and I think we had a great collection of talks.  Walter even sent us a few words for the opening (Thanks, Walter!).

Anyone considering checking out the vids, you can consider the registration a preliminary test of your Japanese abilities. If you can't understand how to register, then you probably won't understand the videos either. :-)
