I am very interested in the state of the development.
 * How are you going to do the build system? Hm, i mean, can you give a description how it should work for the user?
 * Is DSSS integration planned?
 * What about the speed optimization of the autocomplete?
 * When do you think, will there be a new release? I am looking forward to it :)

Well, I just started a new internship, so I've been spending a lot less time on Descent recently... but it's getting there! If you load up descent.building you can see a semi-working version of the UI. It's obviously not going to be as configurable as a DSSS script, but it provides all the options you'd want in a sensible UI. I'm planning to try it with most of the DSource projects just to make sure it works for 95% of the cases it should. There's no explicit DSSS integration yet, but the builder UI may well output a DSSS script which will be executed instead of invoking the compiler itself.

I attached an image of how part of the UI looks, so as you can see it's coming along.
