can you please update the dmd1/dmd2 packages with this version
current dmd2.052 seems to be still using 8.00.8

Do these new versions use the in-progress C port?  How is that going?

Yes.

Very slowly. Essentially what I do is translate the sections where bugs are suspected, then fix them in the C version.

With the current set of sources and DMD 2.052 I get no crash anymore but instead the linker hangs (without taking CPU time).

I prepared another zip with the corresponding object files and the command line used:

Seems to be everytime - tried about 10 times.
