Whilst DMD seems to be in MacPorts, GDC and LDC appear not to be. Is this right? If it is then it is wrong – it would be great if the person handling the DMD port could be supported to get a LDC and GDC ports in place.
I am a user of MacOS maybe once per year, but I'll help as I can.

I know ldc is available on homebrew, don't know about gdc. I get the impression that home-brew is much more widespread than macports.

I get the impression that home-brew is much more widespread than macports. I stayed with MacPorts because I stopped using OSX, now that MacPorts uses binary packages whenever it can, there seems no reason to up sticks and change for a system I rarely use (except for testing SCons support for D, which is what this is all about deep down). I think the right strategy is to make sure DMD, LDC, GDC, and Dub are available on as many systems as possible. -- Russel. ============================================================================= Dr Russel Winder t: +44 20 7585 2200 voip: sip:russel.winder@ekiga.net 41 Buckmaster Road m: +44 7770 465 077 xmpp: russel@winder.org.uk London SW11 1EN, UK w: www.russel.org.uk skype: russel_winder |
