DMD's JSON output hasn't changed since at least the switch from C++ to D. Is it deprecated or merely lacking maintainers? Is there a vision for where it will go?

Having no response, I'm going to assume it's lacking maintainers, lacking vision, and lacking sufficient attention to deprecate.

What it's lacking is someone who is using it. It's users who would drive something like this forward. It's most definitely in the camp of "build it, and they will come".
