I'm trying to promote D as much as the next guy but that's just wrong. How is D more popular then RPG?! "The ratings are based on the world-wide availability of skilled engineers, courses and third party vendors." D does have "third party vendors" (GDC) but looses by far on the other two criteria. "The popular search engines Google, MSN, and Yahoo! are used to calculate the ratings." That must be the problem, I guess they can't filter the false hits. don't believe every thing you read on the internet. Ant |

Was I trying to imply that D is in greater "real world" use than most of the other 'established' languages anywhere on that list? Of course not. - Dave |

Posted in reply to Ant | I think that D gets the hits for 3-D programing also.

By using hits on google and yahoo, I think the index is a reasonable indicator of the 'buzz' surrounding a language. I can readilly believe that D has more buzz than RPG. |
