Besides being new to D, I'm also quite new to newsgroups. I'de like to
ask to the community for some newsgroups readers recommendantions, since
I've become a bit unsatisfied with the ones I've tried (Outlook Express
and ThunderBird).
There were various things I didn't like, just to name some: I started
with Outlook Express but I didn't find a way to define a signature for
my posts (!), nor did I find a way to see only the new/unread posts.
Then in ThunderBird, the Unread posts view didn't support threaded view,
and when I made a reply to a post with an text-file attachment... it
inlined the attachment in the reply, (WTH ?).

Thx.

I'm using thunderbird, can't see anything wrong with it. I honestly don't think you can get anything better than it. (I specially like the smilies ;) and the *bold* _underlined_ /italic/ formatting. It's just neat overall.

Anyway, for unread posts, I just look for threads where the title is Bold (new thread) or underlined (new posts in the thread).

As for inlining text atachments, I don't know what's up with that, but this happens with all email clients I know, even gmail's web based client does that :/

You may wish to try Opera, which includes a newsgroup reader. In the latest version, it's got a good number of features the other's don't, and many people seem to like it.

I use Thunderbird myself, but... well, it's not perfect. The attachment thing is just because it will show attachments at the end - I think you can turn it off, either in options or about:config.

Hmmm...
I use PAN http://pan.rebelbase.com/ under GNU/Linux and it's way better.
There's also winshit and macOS versions of pan.

But thunderbird is cool too. If it's open source it's fine.

Pan is great. The kde newsreader is also quite good. Both of those are on linux, though.

On windows, I use thunderbird. While it does the job, I don't consider it as good as pan. There are a few features on it that annoy me; but it's free, so being too picky is rather unproductive.

Another (free) newsreader I've tried on windows is Super Gravity. It's quite comprehensive and feature rich; but for some reason, I don't like it very much. Others might like to try it out, though.

To view with threading, go to View - Threads, and select the option you want. (With Thunderbird)
