Hello everybody, I'll be arriving in Munich on the morning of May 1st. I was wondering whether anyone has any recommendations as to how to spend that day? Thanks, Shachar |

Take the city sightseeing bus for a day. It will give a good overview over the city and its destination will automatically give you more things to do in that city.

You seem to be just in time for some traditional Maypole Erection https://forum.dlang.org/post/rvawuhskjoyvcuzfrvhg@forum.dlang.org There seems to be a little bit of info on what you can do in this thread: https://forum.dlang.org/thread/qkfwiejjggfaahhzmzgo@forum.dlang.org?page=1 There was another thread that was started by a local resident detailing tourist attractions, but I can't seem to find it right now. You can also always check wikipedia, which has some good info |

There's a rock bar called Schwabinger 7: https://www.facebook.com/Schwabinger7 Unfortunately, in Munich cool places are spread out all over the city, i.e. once you decide on one place, you might be 30-45 minutes away from another place you like :( For gigs, check out: https://events.in-muenchen.de/region/konzerte/?vorschau=1 or just browse the calendar / website. "Ausstellungen" means "exhibitions", the rest should be self-explaining (like "Theater" ;) |

LOL. That's what I'll be doing, but I'm not exactly the touristy type. The last two years, when it was in Berlin, I did zero site-seeing, and my father complained about it like there was something wrong with me. But he's the type who would be spending every spare minute visiting stuff as if it were his duty to see all the sites whenever he goes somewhere new. :)
