I'm sad to hear that. You've been a valuable contributor to D. I hope you'll be back soon.

Sorry to see you go. Good luck with everything. Thanks for all of your contributions.

(Also, I also appreciate you letting us know what's going on. You'll be missed.)

Why are you leaving , was this provokoed somehow ? Tell your wife its something you like to do , dont give up completely , do like dave says just spend LESS time with it ( and MORE time with your wife ). D's about to explode come March why quit now ???

My wife likes that I have these various time consumptions. It means there's less chance of offspring #3 being constructed, since she's adamant that we're stopping halfway along my planned 4 children. ;)

Shame about Ant. I reckon he should at least pay us a visit now and then. If D becomes a serious commercial language in the next two years, which seems eminently possible (especially if we can get some academic institutions interested), then it'll be very good for all concerned to have been involved at this stage, as we'll be the gurus.

Of course, Ant will be sorely missed. :-(

But he's more the man for making family the priority over d. As special as d is, it sure isn't worth the risk of losing family. It's easy to overlook what counts in this world.

I've seen plenty of death and broken hearts through the years on my job as a paramedic. It happens over and over and over again. It's amazing how we human beings don't see what counts until it's too late (or try to ignore it lest it pain us). It's been a slap in the face for me a few times and certainly keeps me thinking. So it's refreshing to see someone that cares enough.

I'll stop philosophising. Sorry! Take it easy, Ant. It could happen to any one of us in one way or another.

Best wishes,

John

Well, it was like a "blue screen of death"
on my marriage. We just rebooted it.
We applied some patches to prevent the same
to happen again. That will result in less
time for D as more maintenance routines
are required...
It was my fault, I overclocked too high..

:)

Glad to hear that. And glad you're alson working out your personal life, which is even more difficult with a woman around, because who understands women anyway? (sorry to any women out there, but I just think that's the honest truth).
