Hey Ant, don't worry. I feel for you about your current situation. I've heard lots about the current immigration difficulties in Canada. It's really hard times for it. I hope yours goes through eventually because we need more smart fellas like you to help get this confused country productive again ;-).

As for your name, I don't know what clues it would give or why we would think ill of it. There's so many different names here, that a name is just a name. Just be glad you don't have a name like "John," where almost every 3rd person shares it :-).

As for life troubles, everyones got 'em. Some people pretend not to have them, but in the end everybody's just trying to keep there head above the water (there's an English expression for you). The difference is that you voiced them while other's might not. No harm done at all. Just be happy you're not around me because, when I'm frustrated, I voice them to the nearest person that happens to be around at the time (well, if I know them well enough).

Take it easy and best of luck,

John

I dont see why you should be ashamed of your
origin, you should be proud!
I know a lot of your paesano's(dont know how to spell it sorry) and all
they often talk of fond memories of their country.

Phill.
