Fedora OS is just a linux distribution orignating from Redhat, so why not?

2nd: Yes, I use Fedora Core 2, and DMD works just fine.

I'm using Fedora Core 1, and D works fine.  Before that, I had it running on several versions of RedHat (7.x, 8.0, 9).

I dont think there is such a thing as a "stupid question".

Just because you have a little knowledge of a subject,
does not make you more intelligent than me or anyone
else who does not have that knowledge. Im damn sure
there are subjects that I have much more knowledge than you or anyone else
on this NG(my work for instance).

In defense of the question, there've been a lot of rumors of programs not working on Fedora for unknown reasons.

What we learn from your question, is that you havent't looked at the distrubution. It doesn't do any evil automatic installation, and if it wouldn't work... then it would just be it (although it barely needs anything, so it does). You're definately not damaging the system with it.

I've tried to use Linux and dropped it. Fact is, one has to know it well or leave it alone. This relates to nearly all modern Unix distributions out there. The notable exceptions that are POSIX compatible but don't feel like Unix are MacOS-X, BeOS (which i myself use), QNX and some others.
